Something’s gotta give…practicing what we preach
In case you hadn’t noticed, we haven’t been around (from a blogging perspective at least) for a little while.
We wanted to drop a quick note to let you know what’s been going on!
If you’ve follow us on Facebook, you may already know that we have moved our office. We were saddened that our lease came to an end but excited about the new opportunity that our new office provides. So even though this is a positive change, it is still stressful. Yep..positive stress is still stress. Moving is considered one of the top twenty life stressors…and we can personally vouch for that!
There is a great deal of planning involved; a million little details to handle; and annoyingly, for the most part, the rest of life doesn’t stop while you are trying to handle these added tasks. The last 6 weeks have felt like a full-on sprint and we are thrilled to finally be able to catch our breath.
Sometimes life is like this…there are surges of activity that really can’t be avoided. During times like this it is necessary to recognize that we are human and we all have limits…and we can only do what we can do! Something has to give. We have to evaluate our “to-do lists” and figure out what things we can let go of…at least for awhile. We tell our clients this all the time…so we had to take our own advice. In our case, unfortunately, this blog was a temporary casualty of our stressful sprint to a new office!
But now, we are back. We are moved in and excited to be seeing clients in our new space. We can take a deep breath and decide which things we let go of are worth bringing back. This is one of them.
Next week, we look forward to getting back into our discussions about anxiety.
In the meantime, If this is a particularly stressful time in your life, is there anything on your to-do list that you can let go of?
Take care of you…
